Stingerbees

Ages 5-6

Our Stingerbee Summer Program provides nine weeks of exciting learning opportunities. Campers expand their imaginations and knowledge through a variety of enriching, academic-based, hands-on activities. Our weekly Core Concepts are created specifically for this age group. Campers enjoy a fun-filled summer while learning new skills along the way, such as geometry, artistic expression, and problem-solving. Stingerbees will also take time to enjoy a mid-morning snack and recess. The afternoon program is an extension of the morning weekly Core Concepts. Afternoons include exciting enrichment programs offered by local experts in art and science.

Swimming takes place one day per week at the nearby Losantiville Country Club. Children are transported by The Seven Hills School bus.

Core Concepts are curriculum-based themes that are designed and led by certified teachers!

Author Study: “The Day The Crayons Quit”

June 8-12

Core Concept: Join us in the study of this hilarious tale by author Drew DeWalt, as crayons revolt against their main job — to color! In “The Day the Crayons Quit,” we explore the roles of the crayons as they teach children about creativity, conflict resolution, and diversity. In this author study week, we will focus on early literacy skills and reading comprehension, all while exploring the colorful world created by Drew DeWalt and illustrator Oliver Jeffers.

Morning Program: $190 Full Day: $350

Let's Fly a Kite

June 15-18 (No Program June 19)

Core Concept: Early Childhood Center campers will learn about the power of wind this week! By making fun models, reading books about the sky, and lots of experimenting, children will get the chance to see their ideas “take flight.” One of the highlights this week will be flying kites with their camp group and then displaying their creations for other campers to enjoy!

Map it Out

June 22-26

Core Concept: North, south, east and west … following the trusty map is always best! Let’s have an adventure this week as we follow maps, clues, and more to hidden objects. A big focus of this week will be learning about local landmarks in our own city and even making our own maps that will help us learn about simple directions. Don’t forget your compass!

Mini Master Chef

June 29-July 2 (No program July 3)

In this imaginative week children will take on the role of restaurant owners, waiters, and chefs as they imagine they are creating their very own restaurant menu. We will read books about food, make pretend meals, and maybe even have a visit from a real life chef. This creative week will end with a pizza party!

Morning Program: $152 Full Day: $280

Seven Hills Farmers Market

July 6-10

Core Concept: Let’s all head to the market! We will find fresh fruit, vegetables, and healthy snacks for our growing bodies. We will celebrate the sweet bounty of summer this week and learn how fruits, veggies, and flowers grow in the summer. With a little sun, water, and love we will be growing our own plants too!

Morning Program: $190 Full Day: $350

Lots O' LEGOs

July 13-17

Core Concept: Working with LEGOs is the first step for children to explore the world of building and engineering. This week we will make our own creations that will challenge children to think creatively and help them see the possibilities are endless when it comes to imagination. Throughout the week, children will complete a series of Lego challenges that will also foster team work and friendship.

ABC Bootcamp

July 20-24

Core Concept: Let’s all march together and join the ABC bootcamp. We will work as one unit to brush up on the ABCs and sing our hearts out all week long! Each day of this week we will help one letter shine as we focus on letter sounds, writing letters, and sounding them out. One of the highlights of this week will be making our own parade where each child will take ownership of a letter and find words that start with their special letter of the week!

Morning Program: $190 Full Day: $350

Camp Classics

Aug. 3-7

Core Concept: We wrap up the summer with a week full of classic camping activities. Spending the week pretending we are under the night sky, sleeping in a tent by a warm fire, will jump-start your child’s imagination! To make this week more exciting, we learn basic camping skills, read books about hiking adventures, and even make s’mores! The perfect way to end the summer will be to enjoy a pretend campout with friends!
